Meglio, un cambiamento. Da qui l’idea di preparare armi e bagagli per trasferirsi in quella che in Europa è forse la miglior patria (insieme all’Inghilterra) per poter esprimere il proprio genio creativo: la Germania e Berlino, soprattutto. Ma riavvolgendo il nastro, emerge un percorso comune a molti altri dj produttori. “La mia passione per la musica l´ho coltivata sin da quando ero bambino, grazie ai miei genitori che mi hanno cresciuto a ritmo di Kool & The Gang , Pink Floyd , Depeche Mode e musica dance anni 90.” Una giovinezza intessuta di sound energici, un passo doveroso quello di abbracciare professionalmente la consolle. “Il mio primo passo verso il djing è avvenuto a 14 anni con la mia prima consolle e le prime feste tra amici e pian piano anche nei locali di zona. Successivamente sono arrivate le produzioni, il primo disco a 18 anni e di lì in poi è stato tutto un crescere in direzioni specifiche a seconda dei suoni e delle tendenze del momento. Tutto questo processo mi ha portato a maturare e fare tante esperienze in molti locali italiani ed esteri, portandomi poi alla decisione di trasferirmi nella capitale europea della musica elettronica, Berlino.”
- Sono curioso: com’è la tua vita da dj in Germania?
“Ho appena finito di mettere a punto due diversi studi in cui lavorerò, non soltanto a progetti dancefloor ma anche a qualcosa di più sperimentale con diversi produttori e dj di Berlino. Sicuramente nasceranno collaborazioni con molti cantanti e artisti jazz. Ovviamente senza tralasciare il djing che rimane sempre l´amore principale nel mio mondo musicale.”

- - Quindi il calendario è fitto. Quali progetti musicali hai in programma in questo momento e nell'immediato futuro? Con che artisti collaborerai e su quali etichette uscirai?
"In questo momento sto lavorando a molti progetti musicali e anche con diversi nomi che vedranno la luce nel corso del 2012 che mi daranno modo di sperimentare anche vari tipi di generi musicali destinati anche a differenti tipi di pubblico e non solamente ai club. Per ora mi piacerebbe rimanere scaramantico e lasciare poi il giudizio al pubblico!”

- Hai lasciato il tuo Paese per Berlino. Ci saranno certamente delle differenze a livello di club culture …
“In Italia il movimento è sempre vivo , ma all´estero ti accorgi di molte differenze , che non fanno dell´Italia un posto peggiore, ma soltanto diverso, poiché la cultura e la storia non è stata la stessa per tutti i paesi in cui il clubbing è parte viva del settore terziario, come il turismo in Italia.”
- Di giovani ai tuoi set ne hai visti tanti. Cosa ne pensi del movimento giovanile che frequenta i locali? Differenze tra l'Italia e l'estero?
“Sicuramente entrambi i movimenti hanno voglia di divertirsi, ma come dicevo in precedenza, la cultura non è la stessa e la storia e soprattutto gli sviluppi degli ideali sono in forte contrasto ecco perché in Italia a volte si trova difficoltà nel far emergere artisti con talento anche se sconosciuti, all´estero questo è possibile poiché viene data molta importanza all’individualità dell’artista non solo come dj , ma come musicista che ha bisogno delle produzioni musicali per creare la propria identità.”

- Digitale o analogico?
“Io sono sempre per le nuove tecnologie , anche se rimango affezionato al vinile. Sto lavorando al Live Set per il 2012. Mi e´capitato di suonare in timecode con Traktor , ma la qualità non è la stessa del vinile e soprattutto abitando a Berlino ho trovato molti vinili che non vengono distribuiti sui portali e ho riapprezzato il vero "pezzo unico" che tutti vengono a chiederti perché non lo conoscono.”
- L'artista internazionale e quello italiano che apprezzi di più in questo momento ?
“A livello internazionale al momento ce ne sono due e sono Doubthing Thomas e Robag Wruhme , mentre a livello italiano Fabrizio Maurizi e The Selph con la sua ultima uscita su Amam.”
- La traccia che se potessi, suoneresti in ogni dj set?
“Certamente Dj Assassin - Face In The Crowd (Intellidread Mix)”
- Essere un dj ...cosa significa per te, quali emozioni ti fornisce?
“Sicuramente amore per il pubblico che hai di fronte e adorazione quando ti senti connesso direttamente con le loro emozioni, guardandoli negli occhi e vedendo sulle loro facce sorrisi di festa! Non importa il tipo di musica che andrai a proporre , ma l’ importante è divertirsi.”
Bando ai generi che mettono paletti alla musica, quindi. Il vero obiettivo è la festa!
